Addis Continental
Institute of Public Health collaborates with universities in Ethiopia
and internationally to offer quality education in public health. This
program aims at producing appropriately skilled experts at various
levels of public health programmes and policy making. The long-term
training programme focuses in strengthening the implementation capacity
of organizations. In as much as possible the programme gives
opportunity to the working professionals so that they enhance their
individual and organizational capacity without necessarily detached
from their work. Assignments shall be related to the trainees work to
facilitate learning based on practical problems in planning,
implementing, and evaluating public health programmes. The following
are long-term trainings programmes being developed by ACIPH and its
collaborating partners.
BSc. in Public Health Sciences This
is a new training programme that focuses in producing professionals
with technical experts in planning, implementing and evaluating public
health programmes. This programme is operational since 2008.
Master of Public Health (MPH)
This
MPH training programme focuses on enhancing the capacity of public
health implementing organizations. It is tailored for open
learning. Relevant curriculum is developed and approved by the partner
university. ACIPH collaborates in implementing the programme in
trainee-friendly arrangements and state-of-the-art facilities. This
collaborative initiative is operational since fall 2007.
PhD in Public Health
This
PhD level training programme focuses on enhancing the capacity of
academic, research, and policy institutions. It is tailored for open learning. Relevant curriculum is developed and
approved by the partner university. ACIPH collaborates in implementing
the programme in trainee-friendly arrangements and state-of-the-art
facilities. This collaborative initiative is operational since fall
2007.
